I believe that it takes teamwork to ensure that a child will be succcessful, not only in school, but in life. It requires the participation of the parents, the teachers and the child. I have a quote posted in my room which states "If You Can Imagine It, You Can Achieve It; If You Can Dream It, You Can Become It" I believe this to be true. We are all here to help our children and students to begin to make those dreams come true.If you have questions or need to contact me, I would encourage you to send me an email at [email protected]. I check my email several times a day and respond promptly.
I live near-by in Highland Creek with my husband, Peter and daughter Johanna. Johanna will be heading off to college in Chicago this fall. We have two cats, Fritzer and Fuzzball, a parakeet and Pixl, a beagle. I am originally from Texas. I received my degree in Advertising and Photography from The University of Texas. After working in public relations for Ryland Homes and then becoming a free-lance photographer, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I taught in Baltimore County, Maryland for 5 years. After we moved to North Carolina, I stayed home with my daughter. When she began kindergarten I resumed teaching at Blythe Elementary School. I helped to open Highland Creek Elementary and am delighted to be helping to open Parkside Elementary School.
